21 Days of Fasting and Prayer for the Upcoming Elections

"Everything depends on prayer, yet we neglect it--not only to our spiritual hurt, but also to the delay and injury of our Lord's cause on the earth." - E.M. Bounds

Embrace the Heartland in Prayer Network has put together a 21-day prayer and fasting guide for our upcoming local, state and national elections. The guide will be non-partisan and will include a prayer point, a scripture and short prayer for each day. It will begin Monday, Oct. 13th and end Sunday, Nov. 2nd.

It is very important for the Body of Christ to pray because besides the Presidential election there are 35 Senate and 435 House of Representative seats that will be filled as a result of this election. It has been 80 years since there has not been a former or current president or vice president running for President. In addition there are many many state and local offices across the country that will be filled as a result of this election. God is looking for those that will stand in the gap and rebuild the wall that He might heal our land. (Ezek.22:30) May there be a large company of people in the Heartland whose voices are heard in heaven as they humble themselves and pray so that He might not pass us by. (Joel 2:12-14)

Fall Missions Conference

This year's Fall Missions Conference promises to be very special. Our emphasis will be the unreached Muslim world. With a world population of 6.7 billion people, 1.2 billion are Muslim. That’s a pretty significant number when you think about it! How do we reach all those Muslims? Most missionaries would answer that question, "One person at a time."

Most Muslims live in countries that restrict the gospel. Countries like Sudan, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, to name a few, practice Islam very closely. In fact, Muslims who convert to Christianity in these nations will most likely suffer some form of persecution. This persecution can also affect their family members.

Our special guest speakers for this conference will be David Leatherberry October 18th and 19th and Dick Brogg October 25th and 26th. Both of these men have ministered in Muslim nations for many years. They have a story to tell.

Please be in prayer as our conference approaches. We will be taking offerings to support a school for children in Darfur, Sudan. Our giving will help purchase land, buy food, pay teachers and spread the gospel.
