Decorating for Christmas
Remember the joy of getting together with the whole family to prepare your home for the holidays? – the sweat, the laughter, the getting wrapped in lights and ornaments, the tired backs and bones, down to the final bit of tinsel? – until you get to step back and marvel at the beauty you have all created? Now you have the opportunity to participate with brothers and sisters of our church family to create that “marvel of beauty” right here at GT. Sign up to help at the Connection Booth or call Joanie to be part of this holiday tradition. We will be decorating the church during the following times:

December 1st – Monday, 11:00AM to 8:00PM
December 2nd – Tuesday, 11:00AM to 8:00PM
December 3rd – Wednesday, 9:00AM to 3:00PM

Joy Set Christmas Banquet
This year's Joy Set Christmas Banquet will be held on Friday, December 5th at 6:00pm. Tickets are $15 per person. Our special guests are The Sound Advise Quartet”.

Women's Christmas Celebration
Host a single mom and her children for the Women’s Christmas Celebration on Friday December 12th. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in our West Fellowship Hall. This will be a wonderful opportunity to bless a single mom with another set of hands for the evening.

Please invite a single mom and her children and then sign them up for this event as well as yourself as their host. We would also be glad to match hosts and guest as well. If you are interested in attending this event, please sign up at the Women’s Ministry table in the foyer or through our on-line registration. The evening will consist of a dinner for you, your guest and her children, drama, music and fun. This will be a night to remember! Please sign up by December 7th.

Help Needed
Ladies, we need your help! Women’s Ministry is looking for volunteers to help with the Women’s Christmas Celebration. We need about 40 dozen homemade cookies. If you would be interested in donating any chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter or oatmeal raisin cookies would you call Chris Ford at 391-6515 or email her at cford@gtomaha.org. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

We would also like to send each single mother and her children home with a gift. If you would like to donate gift cards in $10 increments from Wal-Mart or Target it would be greatly appreciated.

We will need volunteers to help set up, cook, serve, wash dishes and help with the children. If you are interested in helping please call or email Chris Ford 391-6515 or cford@gromaha.org.

Christmas Celebration Services
Glad Tidings Worship Ministries presents "Love Came Down", a musical celebration of the greatest gift in all of history. Performances will be during our normal weekend services on Saturday, Dec. 13th at 6:30 pm and Sunday, Dec. 14th and 9:00 and 11:00 am.

Christmas Light Tour (Joy Set Seniors)
Joy Set will be taking their annual Christmas Light Tour on Thursday, Dec. 18th at 5:30pm. They will meet in the south parking lot at church and take a two hour tour to see the holiday lights in Ollie's Trolley which is enclosed and heated. A soup supper will follow at 7:30pm in the WFH. The cost is $15/person and space is limited on the Trolley to 47 passengers. For those not wishing to take the tour, you can join us at 7:30 for the soup supper at the church.

Christmas Eve Service
Glad Tidings will hold its Christmas Eve Service from 6:30 to 7:30pm on Dec. 24th.

Lost and Found
Cleaning out your closets at home? Well, we’re trying to do the same at church. You wouldn’t believe what we’ve found in our LOST AND FOUND - everything from stacks and stacks of Bibles, to perscription glasses, various pieces of clothing, cell phones – and even shoes!! If you are missing something, please check the table at the top of the stairs in the next couple of weeks. Two weeks from now everything will be sent to the Goodwill!
