Tomorrow I will put an app in at the Omaha schools for a job. I pray this is where the lord is leading me to work. Recently I turned down a job to get another one that I didn't get. On 10-06 I will apply at Omaha and Ralston schools for the same job I didn't get on friday. I'm praying I can get that type of job because it fits well with our family schedule. - Renee

We have an update on the condition of Colton Newman and a clarification:
Colton did not lose his rectum, he was never in a drug induced coma, and the family does have health insurance. Colton is doing very good. The skin grafts have all been done and the skin is healing. Both of his knees have been saved so he will only have prostetics below the knees. His ostomy bag can probably be reversed in a couple months. We have to wait for the skin down there to completely heal in order to do the reversal. We may be able to go home in a week or two.
I know we (especially Colton) are truely blessed. Without the thousands of prayers he is getting I know we would not be where we are today. Thank you so much for all your church is doing for him and for helping me to get correct information out about him.

I just found out from my friend Kari her youngest daughter Brylee's heart surgery is scheduled for a couple days from now. I got a call last night when I got home from a camp meeting in that my father whom I have never met before was killed in a car accident. When I answered the phone I didn't know who it was. I was told me that it was my father's mother and I was shocked and didn't know what to say. I asked what I could do for her and she said sobbing on the phone that my father was killed in a head on colision in Colorodo. I would appreciate prayer for this. I may have never met him but he did help bing me in to this world.

I want to give thanks to God! For the past 4 months I believe I had an ear infection in both ears. It progressively got worse & very painful to where I was starting to get dizzy from it & aching from pain&causing painful pressure. I went to Wednesday's service (which happened to be the night they were hurting me the most they ever have). I am an individual who has never turned my life to God, been saved,or born again. I allowed God into my heart & life Weds night. I felt him come in & take all my burdens. I praised his glory & I asked God to heal my ailment & I literally felt the infection being pulled from my ears - like in the way a magician pulls the handkerchiefs out of his hat & I had no doubt that God healed me - they unclogged thereafter. They felt a little better Thurs&Fri but still a little bothersome. Saturday morning they didnt hurt @all. My dr's appt had previously been scheduled for later Sat morn(today). The doctor said there was 'nothing' - NO infection, no sign of there ever having been an infection...not even wax!!..ears were perfect. God healed me&I have testified of such to everyone today & will continue to sing his praises always. - Jessica

Ron Urich will be having open heart surgery on Monday September 4th. Ron will have a valve replaced, up to three ateries bypassed and a portion of his Aorta replaced with a dacron graft. May God continue to deliver good outcomes and good reports by His grace and mercy.

Please agree with me in prayer that when I go to Swift Transportation to drive tractor-trailers over the road long haul on October that I pass all my tests with flying colors.
That GOD will give me the talent to drive the tractor-trailer correctly each & every time on the road. That He will give me the wisdom to do the logbooks correctly every time. Lastly that I get a GOD sent trainer from Swift to pass my final test ride after 6 weeks with a trainer. A final test at the terminal then they will give me a truck to drive myself, Lord willing,

Please pray for my son, Mark. His wife died 1 1/2 years ago leaving him with 3 teenagers. Six months later he was laid off from work, and about the same time suffered a shoulder injury, with surgery on it last April. He is still experiencing considerable pain and has been told he can never return to his previous job, or do the tree work he so dearly loves. He has 2 ministerial degrees but circumstances have kept him from such a job. He now wants to enter ministry work again. Please pray for guidance from him and contentment in his losses.

Pray for our daughter, she really needs the Lord. She has a defiant/rebellous spirit, smokes, listens to bad music. Two days ago she ran away from home, we do not know if she is safe or in danger. At church, I prayed for a young girl with a sexually transmitted disease. She said that she doesn't want to die. Please pray for complete healing, that she may be a testimony to her friends and family. She also gave her heart to Jesus last night. Praise God! I gave her a water baptism form, however she didn't think that she'd have a ride to church on a Sunday, since she doesn't have a car.

My Grandfather Ralph Heavrin Sr. is 101 years old. A week ago today I received a phone call that he had been rushed to Bergan Mercy Hospital by Rescue Squad. The outcome of all tests pointed to him having a massive stroke causing his brain to swell and putting him into a coma.
Sunday at church I got a phone call telling all family to come up. They think he will not make it. I had already prior commitments to the church and chose to follow through with them. I stood firm on God and went up to the Hospital after I was done.
Everyone in my family was there with no Hope and Faith. You could cut the dead negative atmospheric feeling with a knife. I prayed for him. I am the Jesus Freak grandchild according to all of the other family members. Well I will not give up faith I just know that in my heart that God is going to stir up a holy spirit shakedown with this family of mine. I stood firm on his word.
When I got the call on Wed. night that he is slipping away into death I told them not to give up! Pray to God and quit depending on death! Wake up and speak life in Jesus Name!
My In laws stopped in Omaha for a short Visit with us. Telling them the Events of the past week they stood firm with me in prayer for my Grandfather! Not even an Hour had past and the phone had rang. My Dad calling to tell me that prayer must really work! Totally in shock my Dad on the other end of the phone telling me that Grandpa has woke up out of the coma and was laughing! Always Stand Firm with God! God Wants To Rock Your World! Blessings!!!

My fiance&I had split due to a communication breakdown but love each other very much. I have recently turned over control of my life to God and he restored that relationship. Please pray that Brian and I will come closer to the lord and that Brian will too turn over control of his life to the Lord so that we may continue in the relationship and take that spiritual journey together. Please also pray for Brian's son Dylan who has given in to the peer pressures of adolescence is heading down the path that only leads to damnation. He is also immersed in the depths of major depression. Pray also that Dylan will accept the fact that his father and I love each other very much and are going to be a couple. Pray that he not want to sabotage the relationship or distance himself from the family so that once Brian and I are married we can exist as 1 family. My 14yr old son,Ryan has strayed ever since his father's murder. Ryan went from a straight honor roll student to an "F" student Ryan uses marijuana, drinks,smokes cigarettes,steals,associates with gang members and criminals. He's been shot at twice.It is so horrible that I'm already mentally preparing myself for that knock on the door telling me that my son is dead. I have signed him up against his will for the 8/22 Lift retreat.Please pray that something stirs in him& moves him at the retreatand that he may shed the hurt and anger and turn his life over to Jesus.

2008 Music Dept. Texas Choir Tour
Wednesday July 16, 2008 nineteen Glad Tidings Family members left Omaha to embrace the 100 degree temperatures of the state of Texas, after a 12 hour drive we arrived at a Baptist Church in Springtown Texas and the choir held a Worship Encounter at the Hilltop Family Church. We had an awesome time of worship and prayer. There were salvations and healing testimonies shared with our group during our Thursday devotions. The Church prayed for us going into the Johnston Unit on Friday. Friday morning we left for Winnsboro, Texas to minister at the Johnston Unit prison. There were around 250 men who attended and at least 50 decisions for Christ! It was totally awesome! Words cannot even begin to describe the evening except God showed up! We were supposed to be done and out by 9:00 pm and we left around 10:20 because the Senior Warden asked us to keep going! Continue to pray for the inmates and their families who are in prisons. God is Good!

This is my testimony to share the miracle that God showed how all powerful and merciful he really is. Sunday It took all my might to get myself to church I was so tired and stressed from the events of the past week. I was not going to let anything stand in the way of me rejoicing in Gods house on Sunday, I mean nothing!!! My last prayer request was that my mother receive divine healing in the Name of Jesus.
She was at the crossroad of life and death. I Told my mother that she can turn to God and ask him to heal her in the Name of Jesus! God did show up 5:45 p.m. She started to talk. To make a long story short her blood count has come up. Things are turning for the better. Stand in agreement that my mother understands that God loves her SO much! I thank you all that have taken the time to pray and hold her in your prayers. Let God soften the hearts of those that need him. May you all be in good health and my prayers are always with you all!!!

My mother has reached a cross road in this walk and she is struggling. Please let her not be swayed by her family members. She has a very rare blood type. They always have to do a nation wide search when she needs blood. Please pray with me that this is a way to show God's mighty power! She needs a Divine Miracle! She needs this miracle to soften her Family hearts! Pray that this family can be saved from there dysfunction! Please pray that God will keep my heart soft and I will have compassion for her family members.

Pray in agreement with me that my mother be lifted up and to be healed and not suffer any longer. She has been Ill for a few years and time has taken it's toll on her. No insurance, no medicaid, no nothing. I have been her hands and feet for a while now. I called the rescue squad yesterday and they came to take her to the hospital. It has been a rough night and she is low on blood and her body is rejecting the new blood. My prayer is that she has trust in God. No matter what. I pray that she knows that God is by her side every minute of the day.

Pray for Emily Miller. She will be in the hospital for 5 days starting on Tuesday for her first of 2 chemo treatments. We found out on Friday that the result of chest biopsy is that she has composite lymphoma (Hodgkin's and non Hodgkin's) this is very rare. She will do these 2 treatments, rescan, and then reevaluate. We are praying and trusting the Lord for the cancer to be gone for HIS glory.

Please pray for my friends Kathy & Kelly. Their 17 year old daughter ran away in the middle of the night two nights ago. They have no idea of where she could be. They also just found out today that she may have a medical condition that needs to evaluated immediately. Please pray that whoever/whatever put these thoughts into her head is bound and that she opens her eyes and sees the reality of her situation. Please pray that she either comes homes or at least contacts someone so that they can tell her to seek medical attention immediately.

I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who has been praying for Mia McDonic. I had posted a prayer request right after Easter when I found out that she had been born prematurely. I spoke with her mom last week and she is doing incredible. She is scheduled for another surgery in mid-July. Susan (her mom) wanted to let everyone know that her and Graeme appreciate the prayer and support for their family. Please pray for my Dad. He is having surgery to correct some damage he incurred as a fireman. He has related to me that a number of times he was blown down flights of stairs, and fallen through floors they could not tell were burned away.
Firemen risk their lives for others. Well, “the heat is off” now that my Dad has retired, but he is still suffering now in his final years. Please pray that this surgery will alleviate some of that suffering.

After meeting with the doctors this afternoon we were told that Emily's tumor on her neck is all gone!! PTL!! But the tumor in her chest is still there and is a little bit larger than her last scan but smaller than it was orginally. So we have a disicison to make:a chest biospy which would be a 2 day hospital stay or wait for the next round of scans in 6 weeks.

Omaha Christian Academy students injured at Little Sioux Cub Scout Ranch - Jonothan Hempel 8th grader: Sprained ankle, deep hip gash and brusing. He is at home resting.
Sean West 11th grader: collapsed lung and back pain. He is still hospitalized.

Emily M. is finished with her protocol and had final scans on monday. They did not come back clear. We are to see a thoracic specialists today at 12:30. Please be in prayer for the doctors to have eyes to see and the knowledge to know how to proceed.

My sister, Debbie, starts chemo on Monday for ovarian cancer. Please pray for healing. Specifically, for her lymph glands to begin functioning so that fluid does not build up again and for the chemo to do its work with minimal side effects. Also, for God's grace and strength for her and her husband, Cliff.

I would like prayer for my good friend Katrina and her new baby girl Maisy Marie. Katrina was 30 weeks into her pregnancy and was on a trip in Yankton, SD yesterday when some complications occured. The baby was delivered by emergency cesarean section. Maisy weighs 2lbs 4 oz and was flown to Sioux Falls, IA for better care. Katrina is in a coma and using a ventilator to breath right now. Her lungs are filled with fluid and she is having trouble with her blood pressure and heart. Katrina has her husband, parents, and sister by her side. Her other sister is with the baby. Katrina is 27 years old and she is a Kindergarten teacher with OPS. She and her husband are so excited for this new child of God to join their lives. I pray for healing over this new mother and baby and for glorification in Gods name. Thank you

Hello from Haiti! We got a good report from the pathologist on Friday. The report indicates there was not any Melanoma Cancer present in the biopsy from Dan's back. We are rejoicing in the Lord for his kindness in healing Dan of the Melanoma! Thank you for your prayers and many words of encouragement over the last several weeks. We love and appreciate you all so very much!

Please include me in your prayers. My husband and I had some problems and we have been able to work most of them out but I have always battled depression. I started coming to Glad Tidings and I asked Jesus to come into my heart and that has been a miracle and changed me from the inside out. However, I have times where I feel so alone and I have worked hard with counseling, medication, and God to get where I am. I do not want to slip back into a depression and battle that inner lonliness and grief again. It takes the miracle of God to help and I know this. I get so down sometimes and feel like it is a battle that can sneak up on me at anytime. Please include me in your prayers. God Bless

My son Jared's good friend David from high school is having several tests taken today to find out if his liver is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. He has had other tests that were not conclusive. Jared has witnessed to David who is seeking for his own understanding of and belief in God. David has been extremely interested in miracles. Please agree with us in prayer that God will reveal himself to David through all this and David will give his life over to him. Thank you.

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,
Greetings from Haiti. This is very last minute since we were asked to move quickly. Dan received some test results back last week from a mole that had been removed from his back a few weeks ago. The tests indicated that there was Malignant Melanoma Skin Cancer present. After consulting with a plastic surgeon yesterday, the decision was made to do a second operation to remove a larger section of the tissue to confirm there is no other Melanoma present. The surgery is scheduled for today at 10:00 AM here in Haiti.
This is being done as an out patient procedure with a local anesthesia. Normally, complete removal of the infected tissue is the treatment for this type of disease. The doctors believe that the Melanoma was still very shallow and was only beginning to go deeper into tissue below the skin. Therefore, after the operation, the tissue removed will undergo another test to confirm there is no Melanoma present.
Please pray that God would lead the surgeon to remove any remaining Malignant Melanoma that could be present. Our faith is in the Great Physician, Jesus Christ who is the only one who can heal Dan's body with or without the use of the surgeon. To Him be all Glory, Honor, and Praise!

Thank God for that I can submit my prayer request here, and thank you for your prayer, may God bless you.
First please pray for that my mother who was cheated by Mr. Kwong, Mr Ho, Hin Chai and Anna years ago. That God will arise and be her judge. That her funds are returned and those people who defrauded her will be punished.
Secondly, Please pray for me in my job. I need my job and want to be able to share Jesus with my coworkers without persecution or retribution. Pray I can improve my working efficiency, and please pray for and thank God for that God can protect my family members and I will not to be hurt by my workmates and supervisors in order that I can have psychological health during working and I will have a stable job to preach the gospel after my contract is due. Pray for peace and protection of my family and marriage. Please pray for that God will help me to keep the job after the end of my contract and extend my contract for another year. Please pray for that my mother and I can use all our spare time (holidays) to study the bible, distribute the gospel pamphlets and pray, so that we can have spiritual growth up and I can further my contract. Please pray for that my mother, brother , sister and I can have safety during working hour, please pray for that God can protect my family members and I to have a job. Pray that I find a Christian girlfriend. Please pray for that God can keep my stomach health if I pray with fasting for too long time.
Pray for that my family members and I will not be hurt by my colleagues, classmates, church members and friends include Christian colleagues, so that they can be helpful for me to live out a good witness before my family members, my grandmother, my father, my sister, my brother and my relatives can all accept Jesus Christ, and my mother and I can have a spiritual growth up and can strengthen our faith.

Father, in the name of Jesus that You would strengthen Mom on her bed of illness. You to sustain her so she can declare Your mighty works to others (Psalm 118:17). Father, You give power to the faint and You give strength those with out strength. Grant power and strength to Mom. Mom's body has been bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus. She belongs to You. This cancer is trespassing. In the name of Jesus, evict it.

Praise Report
Thank you all who prayed at different times for our friend and house guest Kathy Kruse. She came to Omaha to be treated for her cancer but more important to be prayed for and with by you. We pray and God makes the impossible possible. Kathy was dismissed from the hospital with a new lease on life and no tubes and no cancer. She is healing nicely with all systems functioning including her remaining kidney and no additional cancers. We prayed for good reports and good outcomes. She received the results of her lung, colon and bladder biopsy's they were all negative for cancer!!!!!!!! PTL There is no evidence that the kidney cancer has spread as the doctors had previously thought. She will not require chemotherapy. Her treatment program will only require CT scans and scopes every 4 months for a year.
Your prayers meant a lot to Kathy. God's answers even more.
